Client Prompt

When this family of three moved from a cozy apartment to a much larger house, they dreamed of turning their new home into a warm, stylish retreat that balanced practicality with personality. They wanted rooms that reflected their family’s story, felt pulled straight from a design magazine, and remained functional for both their toddler and their pets.

Result

In this project, the design centered on masterful furniture planning and selections that brought both elegance and purpose to the home. The living room, dining room, and breakfast nook came to life with a harmonious palette of warm woods, tactile rattans, and soft boucle fabrics, all grounded by thoughtfully placed organic stone accents. Each room balanced light and dark elements—think a plush, neutral sofa offset by a deep black coffee table that echoed the bold fireplace trim.

In the dining spaces, the design catered to connection and conversation. A round dining table was selected for the breakfast nook, maximizing seating for family gatherings, while the formal dining room became a statement space with a custom artwork by Fred Cox and a vintage lamp with a Fermois shade.

Every piece was handpicked for durability and style, ensuring the design was as family- and pet-friendly as it was magazine-worthy. This thoughtful approach proved that with the right furniture choices and layouts, even a home with stark white walls could feel layered, modern, and moody without the need for paint.
