Client Prompt

The clients wanted to turn their upstairs hallway from a blank, functional space into one that felt warm, full of personality, and totally unique to them. The goal was to create an inviting, cohesive atmosphere, with plenty of personal touches and meaningful art that told their story.

Result

We injected life into the hallway with design elements that matched both the home’s architecture and the family’s vibe. Custom Ferrick Mason curtains softened the space, and a vintage runner added warmth and character. We also repurposed an existing bench from another room, reupholstering it in a rich mauve velvet that perfectly complemented the hallway’s wooden beams, creating a smooth visual flow throughout.

A family portrait gallery wall became the focal point, adding a sense of symmetry and personality. The final touch was a gilded photograph of Central Park by artist Skendzic, which not only brought in a striking visual element but also a personal connection that elevated the whole space.

Fun Fact:

We stumbled across Skinzik’s work while exploring Central Park for the perfect piece of art. The clients fell for it right away—and we did too! It was a perfect fit for the space.
