Client Prompt

The client originally envisioned a spa-like, neutral primary closet, but as the design evolved, it became clear she was drawn to a moodier, more dramatic aesthetic. The goal was to create a refined space that struck a balance between masculine and feminine elements, all while incorporating personal details that made the closet truly unique.

Result

We set the tone with a bold floral wallpaper from Maresca Textiles, wrapping the walls and ceiling in its moody blue pattern. Though inherently feminine, the design maintained a masculine edge, achieving the perfect balance for both clients. Custom elements like a tailored rug, a walnut floor-length mirror, and upholstered ottomans brought layers of texture and warmth to the space.

The husband’s section featured his treasured baseball memorabilia, positioned near his valet and watch collection for a personalized touch. Meanwhile, soft pendant lighting replaced utilitarian can lights, creating a serene glow and an elevated atmosphere.

Fun Fact:

The stool’s upholstery, a Walter G fabric, was inspired by the client’s shared time working in Africa, adding a deeply personal and meaningful layer to the design.
