In October 2021, a client approached me with a challenging task—transforming a former children’s barber shop into a chic boutique hotel for cats. We worked within their budget to create a space that felt just as welcoming to the owners as it did to their felines. We included soft textures that could withstand traffic from the cat residents and added organizational lockers for each bungalow to keep out clutter. We took part in designing and painting their infamous cat mural for the pop of bright colors in the space. And of course I couldn’t forget the most important piece of furniture—the cat tree!
